Making Art

Through my time at New York University Abu Dhabi, I had the pleasure of assisting David Darts, Associate Dean of the Arts. He developed two classes that utilized the shop spaces to create interactive art pieces during our shortened terms schedule. There would be a single instructors assigned to a group of 4-6 students. I would train my students, using the Tool Training Projects and then the students would design a project to solve a certain problem in their community; lack of communal seating, spaces of solitude, spaces that encourage interaction ect. Then I would work with the students to create their designs. It was an impactful, growing experience for everyone involved. The students imaginations, coupled with collectively finding solutions to each projects problems created special bonds within every group. Please take the time to check out each of these wonderful pieces of ingenuity and art.
