Systems Integration Final Project
For the final project, I used Medialon to control pneumatic solenoids to create a of Jack-In-The-Box. I created a user interface that can control each solenoid individually and I also created a setting, with a created ‘cue’ where the device is triggered by a motion sensor. This project was inspired by Neil Mulligan, one of the DGSD faculty and the Technical Director of Yale Rep, who always has this abilty to arrive onstage at the exact right moment.
Arduino Project
For the arduino project I wanted to create a device that would let the user know if they were having a good or bad technical design idea. I used a random number creator code to tell the motor and LED light their color and location. The code runs 8 randomly created numbers and then stops to reveal if the idea the user is having is good. This project was inspired by all of the faculty at DGSD who advice the student body on numerous bad ideas and occasionally some really good ones.
